BÖTTGER PORCELAIN TEAPOT WITH RELIEF DECORATION

Meissen, ca. 1715-20. The gilding, probably by George Funcke.
Decorated with birds seated on branches in relief and with gold tendrils painted with blossoms. The shoulder, handle and spout accentuated with gold border. The lid with correspondingly decorated peonies in relief and decorated with gold. Gilt edges and spout. No mark.
H 12.8 cm, Ø 16 cm.

Gilding, in part rubbed.
