WRITING GUERIDON

Louis XV, Paris ca. 1750/60. In the style of Bernard II van Risenburgh (maître ca. 1735), bears a stamp B.V.R.B as well as the stamp of the Jurande.
Tulipwood and purpleheart, inlaid in reserves in veneer and fillets. Rectangular top, edged in gilt bronze, on a slightly curved frame with pull-out shelf and lateral drawer, the inside with three small compartments. Curved legs with bronze sabots, connected by a shelf edged in bronze. The pull-out shelf lined with brown leather. Chiseled and gilt bronze mounts on the corners, decorated with leaves and blossoms.
41 × 30.5 × 69 cm.

Restored, in very good condition.

The item of furniture on offer is of high-quality and finely crafted. The elegant proportions and clearly defined reserves with broad fillets are typical elements that can also be found in Van Risenburgh's works.
