CAPITAL ON COLUMN
Late Romanesque, probably France, 13th/14th century.
Sandstone carved in half relief. Square outline tapering towards the bottom and ending in a round shape. Circumferential, multi-figure biblical representations, with a braided band on top. The corners are decorated with scrolled palmettes. Round column with cylindrical shaft and profiled base.
Capital: 44 × 38 × 33 cm. Column: H ca. 138 cm.
Weathered. Heavily chipped. In part fragmentary preservation.
