IMPORTANT BUREAU-PLAT,

Régence style, after a model by A.C. BOULLE (André Charles Boulle, 1642-1732), signed BEFORT JEUNE (Mathieu Béfort, 1813 Paris 1890), Paris ca. 1860.
Ebony, exquisitely inlaid all around with engraved brass fillets in "première partie". Rectangular top, lined with black, gold-impressed leather, edged in bronze. Front with broad central drawer, with 1 drawer on each side. Same but sham arrangement on verso. Exquisite matte and polished gilt bronze mounts.
195x92.5x77.5 cm.
