India, Mughal, 17th c. Painting 6.4x4.5 cm, folio 22.9x15 cm.
Pigment colours and gold on paper. A window portrait of the Mughal emperor in profile with finely rendered details. Mounted on an earlier Persian album leaf.

Provenance: Old Swiss private collection.
