Louis XV, Paris, 18th century. Bears a signature: GARNIER, and a guild stamp.
Purpleheart and tulipwood, in veneer and inlaid in reserves and fillets. Slightly curved body and curved legs. Hinged writing surface over double-doors. The writing surface, lined with brown leather, opening up into 9 drawers and 3 compartments. Bronze mounts, later. Red/grey speckled marble top. 1 key.
