FLINTLOCK PISTOL
In the English style, ca. 1800, probably more recent work.
Four screwed and numbered round barrels (L 6.8 cm), Cal. 11 mm, muzzles with eight notches for the barrel key. Cast brass lock case with four numbered holders for the barrels. Central flintlock mechanism, spring-loaded cover. Anchor symbol engraved on the lock case. Smooth walnut grip.
L 19.5 cm.
A so-called "Duckfoot pistol" which was used during close combat mainly on ships.
