The item on offer is probably after an original composition by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, in short Raphael, entitled "The Archangel Michael" (1518), which is in the Louvre in Paris. A model-like group of figures made of ivory, although with slightly different details (the Archangel has a longer sword), was on offer at the Aguttes Auction House in September 2020 (22 September 2020, Lot No. 28). That sculpture was described as a Northern Italian work from the 19th century.
