A LARGE OKIMONO OF A PHEASANT.

Japan, Meiji period, 27 × 57 cm (without base).
Bronze, naturalistically cast as a proudly errected gold pheasant (kinkei), with gilt and shakudô accentuated patina, the eyes inlaid. Signed in a rectangular reserve Masatsune chû (cast by Masatsune). On burl wood stand.
