ENAMEL, GOLD AND PEARL EAR PENDANTS, 17th - 18th century.

Silver and yellow gold.
Rare earrings, each suspending a pendant in form of a polychrome enamelled caravel with golden sails and black enamelled flag with white maltese-cross, joined by a dove-motif in enamel "en rond bosse", head missing, to a hoop, enhanced by applied band-motifs, gold beads, 2 pendants and small natural pearls. Enamel with slight traces of wear. L ca. 8 cm.

Comparable jewellery is known from the Benaki museum in Greece.
