(Partly coloured) albumen prints and collotypes. Mounted on cardboard supports. Partly with imprinted legends or studio names, mounted legends in Dutch throughout. Various formats (approx. 10 × 14 to 21.5 × 27 cm; vertical and horizontal formats); album 27.5 × 37 cm. Mounts. Half-leather album of the period with gold embossed title on spine.

Portraits, street scenes, views of architecture (including temples and pagodas), interiors, prisoners of the Boxer Rebellion, landscapes (including volcanoes), ethnological portraits. Photographs of Japan (Nikko, Kobe, Tokyo, Hakone), Sumatra, China (Shang-Hai, Canton), Ceylon (Colombo), Java, Port-Said, Batavia, etc.


The prints partly with light scratches, partly faded, slightly curved due to the mounts. 1 print missing. The mounts mostly browned at the edges, partly with light finger prints, 2 mounts loose, a few corners of the mounts with area of loss (1 with larger tear out). The spine cover of the binding missing (fragment with title loosely enclosed), rubbed, the front hinge cracking, the cover slightly warped. Album requires restoration.
