GOTHIC IRON CLOCK
Probably Southern Germany, 16th century.
Forged iron, in part painted. Open case with pillars, the corner pillars decorated. Movement with verge escapement and foliot. Striking mechanism on bell. Later chapter ring with the hours in Roman numerals. Stone weights.
13 × 14 × 37.5 cm.
