GOLD AND GEMSTONE CHESS GAME. Yellow gold 750. Exclusive chess game consisting of 32 decorative cherub figures on malachite and tiger eye bases. As pawns: 16 cherubs with arched bows. As castles: 4 cherubs carrying a castle adorned with 1 brilliant-cut diamond. As bishop: 4 cherubs carrying an enameled standard. As knight: 4 cherubs riding hobbyhorses. The King and Queen are wearing enameled ermine cloaks, their crowns and scepters are set with jewels. Decorative chess board, fields are malachite or tiger eye, surrounded by a sodalite band, rim and bases in malachite. Board size is 29 x 29 cm. Average height of the cherubs ca. 5.5 cm, incl. the base.
