BRUSH HOLDER.China, 19th century. H 13.7 cm. Unglazed biscuit porcelain with fine relief decor of a rooster and a chicken, looking after a butterfly. Rocks, grasses and flowers. The base has the seal mark "Chen Guozhi zuo". Slightly damaged. Famous workshop of the Daoguang Period. Acquired at Sotheby's London, on 6.10.1997, Lot 91.
