TEAPOT DECORATED WITH QUAILS FROM THE JAPANESE PALACE.

Meissen, ca. 1729-1731. Johanneum No. 'N=299-w'. The cover, supplemented.
Octagonal with a straight spout, painted in the Kakiemon style with the so-called "quail decoration". Sword mark in the top glazing, Inventory No. of the Japanese Palace 'N=299-w', incised and blackened.
H 9.5 cm, D 11 cm. The cover was added later (X-ray Fluorescence Analysis Report, Cranfield University) (2).
