(Cento 1637–1715 Bologna) Jacob blesses Isaac. Oil on canvas. 145 x 200.5 cm. Provenance : Commissioned by Vincenzo Gonzaga, Duke of Guastalla (1634–1714) in October 1695 Our thanks to Professor Francesca Baldessari for confirming the artist as Benedetto Gennari the younger, on examination of the original. Dr. Erich Schleier also confirmed the artist to be Gennari on examination of a photograph.
