The Ref. 116506 is the first platinum Daytona chronograph ever produced by Rolex and was unveiled at Baselworld in 2013 to mark the model's 50th anniversary. The most striking innovation is the material of the case and bracelet, now made from the most precious of metals. The bezel and dial have also been completely redesigned. The maroon bezel is made of Cerachrom ceramics. The ice-blue dial is characteristic of this model and the sub-dials of the chronograph repeat the color of the bezel.
