Carved and polychrome painted wood with finely engraved and gilt bronze. With 5 dials: central chapter ring with minutes and hours, surrounded by finely engraved and painted dials for weekdays, date, moon phase and zodiac. 6 fine iron hands. Exceptionally fine, gilt and engraved movement with brass wheels, clockwork mechanism, chain, fusee, verge escapement and repeat function, as well as quarter and hour striking on 2 bells. 42x42x115 cm. A highly important clock of impressive quality. Illustrated in: K. Maurice, Die deutsche Raederuhr, Munich 1976; II, Ill. 591).
