ASKOS BY THE MENZIES GROUP,Apulia, 2nd half of the 4th century BC. Painted terracotta. Pouch-shaped vessel with handle, round spout and round profiled base. The walls with a seated Cupid, opulently decorated with jewellery, bucket, fan and bowl, surrounded by volute decor. Repairs. H 22.8 cm.
