Japan, late Edo (shinshintô-Periode), length 53.3 cm (katana blade), 80 cm (total); 40,4 cm (wakizashi blade), 57 cm (total).
Red and black lacquered saya. Katana: Shinogizukuri style blade in very shallow toriizori sugata, suguha hamon and feine itame hada. Unsigned. Fuchi, kashira and kozuka decorated with grape motivs which recurs on the open work iron tsuba. Wakizashi: Shinogizukuri style blade in koshizori sugata, suguha hamon and feine itame hada. Unsigned. Unreadable signature on kogatana. Both blades with minor scratches and some kizu. Minor wear at koshirae. No NBTHK papers. (2)

A hirazukuri style blade in koshizori sugata, suguha hamon and itame hada. Signed Akihiro. Saya with mura-nashiji on black lacquer. Tsuba, fuchi, kashira and kozuka with elaborated wave pattern, lion and cub shaped menuki. Tsuba and kozuka signed Genkisai Takeda Nobutoshi (born 1834), kogatana Ômi no Kami Tadayoshi (1736-1815). No NBTHK papers. Minor damage at saya and blade (some slight scratches).
