Rectangular, blackened wooden case, glazed all-around. Gilt fronton with silvered chapter ring, within a border of applied, relief-decorated tendrils. Above, a silvered chapter ring for adjusting the striking mechanism, with an applied angel on each side. Pierced area in the dial, for displaying the small counter-pendulum and for the date. Two-day movement with verge escapement on small rear pendulum, striking the 4/4-hour on two bells. Repetition on demand. Striking mechanism can be turned off.

Below, 3 sans-traverse drawers, the top drawer divided in 2. With secret compartment. Upper section with double-doors, 1 large drawer and 3 central, slatted doors below a large compartment, flanked by 5 drawers below a compartment. Drawer interiors lined with "Herrenhuter" paste paper. Gilt bronze mounts and drop handles, in part later.
