“À BAULE” EARRING - former Kofler-Truniger collection
Etruscan, ca. 6th century BC.
Gold. The top tapers to a point and consists of two large scrolls enclosing a small plate. The other end with a field decorated with fine lines. Nine bosses, each in a square frame of wavy wire. Bow missing.
L 4 cm, W 2 cm. Total weight 2.9 g.
In two parts. Small dents and cracks. Slight verdigris.
