A PAIR OF “À BAULE” EARRINGS - former Kofler-Truniger collection

Etruscan, ca. 6th century BC.
Gold, on a semicircular rail. A four-petaled flower with gold filigree fruits in a square field, with three bosses in two rows below, separated by filigree wires.
Ca. 1.3 cm. Total weight ca. 7 g.
Minimal losses. Minimally bent.

Provenance:
- Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1903–1990 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1964 (inv. no. K730B).
- Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974.
- By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne.
