A PAIR OF EARRINGS - former Kofler-Truniger collection
Persia, probably Seljuk Empire, 11th/12th century AD.
Chased gold in the shape of two spheres and a center piece consisting of small funnels with gold filigree wires and granulation decoration. Three crescent-shaped pendants on short chains. Thin bow with closure designed as scrolls.
L 4.1 cm, W 2.2 cm. Total weight 7 g.
Small losses, slightly bent. Bow attachment glued, possibly restored.

- Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974.
- By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne.
