BONHEUR DU JOUR,

Louis XV, by C. TOPINO (Charles Topino, maître 1773), Paris ca. 1780.
Tulipwood and partly tinted precious woods in veneer with exceptionally fine inlays. The front with 1 drawer with hinged writing surface lined with green leather and 2 compartments, 1 pen tray and 2 containers for ink and sand. Recessed upper section with large central compartment above a drawer and flanked on each side by 1 door in front of 2 compartments and 1 small drawer opened by a secret button. Matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Free-standing.
