Under passepartout, framed. The reverse of the frame mounted with gallery label.

"In 1900 he had stood in Madison Square and aimed his camera down Fifth Avenue to make the photograph he entitled Spring Showers; one can barely make out, on the right the tall cupolaed building that still stands at Twenty-second Street and, on the left, the old Erie Railroad office, which was torn down to make way for the Flat-iron."
