Paris, middle of the 19th century. Verso with stamp: Japy frères.
Skeletonized brass case, the front engraved with flowers and tendrils. White enamel chapter ring with the hours in Roman numerals. Small alarm disc. Movement with anchor escapement, small alarm mechanism on bell. On an oval, ebonized base. Glass cloche.
