LONG-CASE CLOCK

Baroque, from the Alpine region, probably Italy, 2nd half of the 18th century.
Pine case. Silvered frontispiece with a brass chapter ring, featuring the hours in Roman numerals. Small dial for the seconds. The dial, in the corners, featuring applied tendrils in relief. Towards the top, a "moving eye" surrounded by an aureole. Movement with lever escapement, striking the hour on bell. Iron weight. 1 key.
