BUREAU-PLAT, Louis XVI, in the style of J.F. LELEU (Jean-François Leleu, Master 1764), Paris circa 1800. Shaped and fluted mahogany. The top lined with green gold stamped leather and edged in bronze, the front with broad central drawer and lateral drawers, with the same but sham arrangement verso, with lateral sliding ledge. Bronze mounts and sabots. 164x79x75 cm.

Mahagoni profiliert und kanneliert. Rechteckiges, mit grünem, goldgepresstem Leder bezogenes und in profilierten Bronzestab gefasstes Blatt auf gerader Zarge mit sich nach unten verjüngenden, kannelierten Säulenbeinen. Front mit breiter Zentralschublade über der Beinaussparung, flankiert von je 2 Schubladen. Gleiche Einteilung auf der Rückseite. Seitlich je 1 Auszugstablar. Matt- und glanzvergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -sabots. 164x79x75 cm.

Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Zürich. Feines Bureau-Plat in sehr gutem Erhaltungszustand, das die für J.F. Leleu typische, stark englisch beeinflusste "sobriété" offenbart.
