Dieses Gemälde, welches 1958 von Giorgio Nicodemi und Gottardo Segantini wiederentdeckt wurde, ist der einzige bekannte Akt von Giovanni Segantini. Gemäss Annie-Paule Qinsac handelt es sich bei der Dargestellten um Segantinis Frau Bice. Gottardo und Nicodemi datieren das Werk um 1884/86, Quinsac hingegen glaubt, dass die Komposition wie auch die Jugendlichkeit der Portraitierten eher für eine Entstehungszeit um 1880 spricht.
