A BRASS FIGURE OF A MAHAKALA. Tibeto-Chinese, 18th/19th c., height 11 cm. Slight traces of gilding. Elephant hide lost from the back. Minor restoration. Glued to a small agate plate.

Messingbronze, leichte Reste von Vergoldung. Die zornvolle, sechsarmige Gottheit hält u.A. eine sanduhrförmige Handtrommel, ein Hackmesser und eine Schädelschale vor seiner Brust. Elefantenhaut auf dem Rücken verloren. Min. rest. Auf Achatplättchen geklebt.
