Paris, A. Skira, 1934. In.-4°. 206 pg., [3] leaves. Loose sheets and plates in 2 original velvet portofolios with guilt spine title (extremities of spine damed, edges rubbed, some scratchings).

Michler/L. 11-54. - Bonet Carnets 1251 - Rauch, 176 - The Artist and the Book, 67: „At his best Dali can evoke a quality of hallucination with his academically correct figures placed against an unexpected background. Le chants de Maldoror, first published in 1868, has been an important literary influence on the Surrealists”. - One of 60 copies of the unequal numbered edition on Arches, edition 1934 (entire edition 210). - Signed by Dalí in the imprint. - Large margins and uncut copy. - Missing etchings: Michler/L. 15, 16 and 50 (2 plates and 1 vignette). Text a little foxings in the white margins. Pretitle a little soiled. But the plates in good condition.
