GAMES BOARD,
Baroque, probably Augsburg ca. 1650.
Walnut and various fruitwoods, exquisitely inlaid with animals, nuts, flower garlands, reserves and decorative frieze. Rectangular, hinged body. The recessed top inlaid with a checker board, verso with a board for Nine Men's Morris, the inside with a "Back Gammon" board. Fine iron mounts.
48x48.5x(open 97)x12.5 cm.
