RARE PRECISION SKELETON PENDULUM CLOCK WITH DATE, DAY, SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC AND SECOND,
Louis XVI/Directoire, Paris, end of the 18th century. The back of the dial signed FLEUROT.
Gilt bronze. Enamel chapter ring, gilt bezel. Movement visible through the center of the dial. Gilt lyre-shaped hour and minute hands, blued second and date hands. Movement with reverse scissor escapement and fine adjustment, half second; striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Repetition on demand. Heavy compensation pendulum.
42 x 20 x 62 cm.
Small chips on the chapter ring, enamel plaque on the pendulum replaced. Movement may require servicing.
