AN ILLUSTRATION TO THE BHAGAVATA PURANA.

India, Bikaner, 1600-10, 16.6x24.2 cm (illustration), ca. 24.5x28.8 cm (folio).
Opaque pigments and gold on paper. Krishna slays a demon while Yashoda and Balarama are watching seated on the porch of their house. Verso inscriptions and partly illegible stamps. Slightly stained, the margins partly backed.
