ZHANG DAQIAN (1899–1983).

China, cyclically dated to 1936, 97.6 × 62.5 cm.
Ink and colours on paper. Old pine tree. Inscribed and signed: Yuan. Seal 1: Zhang Yuan si yin. Seal 2: Qian qiu yuan. Hanging scroll.

Provenance: Purchased in 1976. A correspondence of the same year between the collector and Zhang Daqian's secretary concerning the inscription and the seals of this painting is available.
