Rare Repeater Pocket Watch, "Deutsche Präcisionsuhren Fabrik URANIA", ca. 1900.
"Urania" was the in-house brand of the traditional company Huber in Munich. In 1856, Andreas Huber founded the watch business and later also catered to the Bavarian fairy-tale king Ludwig II. In 1912, the Huber company was awarded the title "Hofuhrenfabrik" by the Bavarian Prince Regent, and later was allowed to call itself "Ehem. Königlich Bayerischer Hofuhrmacher".

Dial: Fine, very well-preserved enamel dial with hands in pink gold.
Movement: High grade 1/4 repeater movement with anchor escapement, compensation balance and Breguet hairspring, signed: Urania München; the base movement is a LeCoultre caliber.
