BUREAU PLAT,
Louis XV, signed I.P. LATZ (Jean Pierre Latz, maître ca. 1740), Paris ca. 1745/50.
Tulipwood and rosewood, in veneer and inlaid with reserves and decorative frieze. Rectangular top, edged in brass. Front with broad central drawer and a drawer on each side. Same, but sham arrangement on verso. Matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Old wax seal in the frame. Requires restoration.
