SECRETAIRE WITH UPPER SECTION,

Empire, France, probably Paris ca. 1810/20.
Flamed mahogany. Front with hinged writing surface, lined with green, gold-impressed leather, over 3 drawers. Fitted interior with central drawer, flanked by 2 drawers on each side. Gilt bronze mounts. Upper section with double-doors, and 2 shelves. Gilt bronze mounts.
122 x 49 x (open 84) x 217 cm.

Restored, requires some restoration. Bronzes on the cornice, missing. Cracks in the veneer on the doors and sides.
