The composition is known from an engraving by Marten de Vos (see D. de Hoop Scheffer (ed.): Hollstein's Dutch & Flemish etchings, engravings and woodcuts. 1450-1700, vol. XLV, Maarten de Vos, vol. 1, Rotterdam 1995, no. 529/II).
Oil on copper. Paint surface well preserved, with minimal craquelure. Small colour losses visible in places. Minimal colour abrasions along the edges.Under uv: few dotted retouching along the edges and in the background visible. Varnish appears irregular in fluorescent green.Overall condition good.Dimensions with frame: 31.7 × 29.7 cm.
