Saint Catherine:Oil on panel, verso with a vertical batten. The paint surface with a fine network of craquelure and vertical craquelure. Some surface soiling and small colour losses. The right hand half with an almost continuous vertical hairline crack visible, with older retouching. Colour losses along the edges.Under UV light: some retouching on the figures and the sky. The varnish fluoresces an irregular greenish colour.Saint Helen:Oil on panel. The paint surface with a fine network of craquelure and vertical craquelure. Some surface soiling, small traces of scratches, older retouching and small colour losses in places. With colour losses along the edges.Under UV light: some retouching on the figures and the sky.
