Das hier angebotene Gemälde geht auf eine Komposition aus einer Serie der Tugenden von der Werkstatt Veronese zurück, welche in der Staatsgalerie Residenz Würzburg aufbewahrt wird (Inv.-Nr. 445; siehe Terisio Pignatti: Veronese, Venedig 1976, Bd. I, S. 195–196.)
Conditionreport:
Oil on canvas, lined. The paint surface shows a slight degree of wear in places, with a network of craquelure. Small colour losses, older retouching and scratches visible in places. Slight canvas stretcher marks and colour abrasions along the edges.<br>Under UV: some retouching on the figures and in the background.
