GENTLEMAN'S WRISTWATCH, CHRONOGRAPH "PRE DAYTONA", ca. 1964. Steel. Ref. 6238. Tonneau-shaped, matte-polished case No. 1.076.769 with round profile, slanting lunette, concave and curved attaches, round chrono pushers, screw-down twinlock crown, screw-down case. Silver-coloured dial, recessed 30 minute and 12 hour counter, small second, appliqued bâton-shaped luminous indices, outer minute and chronograph division with tachymeter, bâton-shaped hands with tritium, signed Rolex Chronograph, -T Swiss T- at 6h. Hand winder, movement No. 6554, Cal. 72B, Lever movement with Breguet balance spring, beryl balance with microstella fine adjustment, Kif shock absorber. Black leather band. D 35.8 mm. Ref. 6234 was produced until 1962. The Refs. 6034, 6234 and 6238 are called "pre-Daytona" by collectors.

Silberfarbenes Zifferblatt, vertiefte 30-Minuten- und 12-Stunden-Zähler, kleine Sekunde, applizierte Bâton-Indizes mit Leuchtpunkten, äussere Minuten/Chronograph-Einteilung und Tachymeter, Bâton-Zeiger mit Tritium, signiert Rolex Chronograph, -T Swiss T- bei 6h. Handaufzug, Werk Nr. 6554, Cal. 72B, Ankerwerk mit Breguetspirale, Beryllium-Balancier mit Microstella-Feinregulierung, Kif-Stosssicherung. Schwarzes Lederband. D 35.8 mm.
