A BRONZE FIGURE OF YAMANTAKA WITH BULL’S HEADINLAID WITH TURQUOISE AND CORAL. Tibeto-chinese, 20th c. Height 38 cm. Attributes are lost except for those of the primary hands. Stone inlays partly lost.

Bronze. Die zornvolle Gottheit mit 34 Armen und 14 Beinen ist mit seiner Partnerin vereinigt. Sein Stiergesicht ist umrahmt von weiteren sechs menschlichen Gesichtern und überragt von einem Dämonenhaupt und dem Kopf von Amithaba. Er steht auf einem Sockel mit 14 Tieren, die auf sechs liegenden Figuren stehen. Die Attribute sind bis auf diejenigen der Haupthände verloren. Türkis und Koralleneinlagen zum Teil verloren.
