LARGE MUSICAL BOX WITH 5 ADDITIONAL BARRRELS,

Switzerland, 2nd half of the 19th century.
Walnut, burlwood and tulipwood, inlaid in rectangular reserves and fillets, and a medallion with mother-of-pearl and brass inlays. Large, spring-wound movement, for long play time. Tone comb on drum, 6 melodies in total. Song display. The inside with an export patent plate: UNITED STATES MARCH 1TH 1881 ENGLAND SEPTEMBER 16TH 1879 LONGUE MARCHE PATENTED. The additional barrels in 2 later boxes of walnut, in part ebonized. With painted medallion. 1 key.
