Diese Ikone ist ein hervorragendes Beispiel für den charakteristischen Stil des Malerdorfes Mstera. Die traditionelle Komposition mit ihrer betont feinen Maltechnik wird äusserst kunstsinnig mit einem progressiv kühlen Kolorit verbunden.

Oil, tempera and mixed media on panel. The panel verso with two horizontal recesses. The paint surface with a network of craquelure, with light surface scratches in parts, a small amount of colour loss and some lifting in parts. A fine vertical hairline crack visible upper and lower centre. With minimal colour abrasions along the edges. <br>Under UV light: retouching visible along the edges, the figure and the background.
