A PAIR OF LITURGICAL VESTMENTS AND A STOLE
Italy, probably Tuscany, early 18th century.
Cream-colored, damask silk ground with polychrome silk embroidery and silver- and gold threads. Bobbin lace border made of yellow- and gold silk threads. Later liing of red and beige silk.
Vestments: H ca. 120 cm, W 70 cm, Stole: L 89 cm.
Repairs, tears and losses. Frayed in some areas. Lace border incomplete in some areas.
