IMPORTANT CLOCK "AUX BELIERS" WITH MOONPHASE,late Louis XVI, the movement signed THOMAS AGNEW & SONS (active in the 19th century), inscribed and numbered SPECTE 27298, England, 19th century Matte and polished gilt bronze and finely painted porcelain. The oval case decorated with vase, rams' heads and flowers on 2 putti supports with garlands. The finely painted front with enamel dial and enamel ring with date, eternal calendar, astronomical signs and moon phase. Brass movement with Brocot escapement and 1/2 hour striking on bell. 41x18x54 cm. Provenance: Zurich private collection.

Ovales, mit Vase, Widderköpfen und Blumen beschmücktes Gehäuse auf 2 Puttenstützen mit Girlande, auf bastionsförmigem Sockel mit Kreiselfüssen. Fein bemalte Front mit Emailzifferring für römische Stundenzahlen, darunter Emailring mit Datum, ewigem Kalender, astronomischen Zeichen und Mondphase. Messingwerk mit Brocot-Hemmung und 1/2-Stundenschlag auf Glocke. 41x18x54 cm.
