CANDELABRUM - The Embden Collection
Louis XIV, Paris, ca. 1680.
Gilt and chased bronze. Removable upper section with two curved, leaf-decorated light branches with baluster-shaped nozzles and drip pans with fluted rims around a baluster-shaped central finial. The candelabrum is decorated with lambrequins, rosettes, and fleur-de-lys decorative friezes on a trumpet base.
