RELIQUARY BUST,

Rhenish, 1st half of the 14th century.
Female bust in carved walnut. The bosom featuring a round opening. The parting can be removed and is hinged. The inside is hollow, the bottom is closed-off by a board, the rear part of which has been restored. Face and neck, painted silver which has turned blackish over time. Gilding on the clothing and hair, later.

Holzkern beschlagen mit vergoldetem, mit Sternen und stilisierten Blüten getriebenem Kupfer, besetzt mit Glassteinen und Grubenschmelzemail-Plaketten in Türkis, Dunkelblau, Rot und Grün. Corpus Christi in Kupfer graviert, vergoldet und emailiert. Die eine Seite des Kreuzes mit dem Gekreuzigten, die Kreuzenden mit Halbfiguren der 4 Evangelisten besetzt. Die Rückseite in der Mitte mit einer runden emaillierten Plakette, Christus in Majestas. Die Kreuzenden mit den Symbolen der Evangelisten. Fehlstellen und Ausbrüche. Ergänzungen. H 41 cm.

spätgotisch, Franken, wohl Nürnberg, dat. 1498.
Linde geschnitzt, verso geflacht sowie gefasst und teilvergoldet. Maria im Lesestuhl sitzend mit langem Haar, die Hände gefaltet. Sie trägt ein reich gefaltetes Gewand. H 104 cm. Finger sowie die Fassug in Teilen ergänzt.
